Day 1
Entering Stillness in Yoshino
After arrival in Osaka, travel into the mountains of Yoshino.
Walk through cedar forests, enjoy fresh mountain air, and naturally slow your pace as the world becomes quieter.
Check in to a traditional ryokan, relax in the onsen, and enjoy a seasonal dinner.

Day 2
Step into temple life in Kōyasan
Travel deeper into the mountains to Kōyasan, where you stay overnight at a temple, join pre-dawn prayers and a fire ritual, enjoy simple shōjin vegetarian meals, practice meditation or sutra copying, and walk the lantern-lit paths of Okunoin—immersing yourself in a spiritual rhythm preserved for over a thousand years.

Day 3
Deepen in Kōyasan
Begin your morning at a relaxed pace, guided by the calm rhythm of temple life. The day unfolds slowly, with time for quiet reflection, cultural activities, and peaceful walks through the forested surroundings. As evening returns, a second night in Kōyasan allows the experience to settle in, leaving a lasting sense of stillness and connection.

Day 4
Entering Kumano’s Sacred Landscape
Descend into the forests and rivers of Kumano, walking a gentle stretch of the Kumano Kōdō and visiting Nachi Falls beside the vermilion pagoda of Seiganto-ji. As evening falls, arrive at a relaxing nature retreat, where hot springs and a seasonal dinner featuring locally harvested and freshly caught ingredients ease you into Kumano’s calm.

Day 5
Entering Kumano’s Sacred Landscape
Today is for calm and renewal. Move at your own pace—wander a short stretch of the Kumano Kōdō, visit Kumano Hongū Taisha, or simply enjoy your retreat. Restore body and spirit with meditation, hot springs, or a guided shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) experience, learning the mindful practice of soaking in the forest air. Meals highlight fresh, local ingredients.

Day 6
Bringing the Rhythm into Daily Life
After a relaxing morning in Kumano, travel back toward Osaka, stopping at Kashihara Jingū, the birthplace of Japan’s first emperor, for a moment of reflection and renewal. End the journey in Sakai with a simple tea gathering—a quiet pause to carry harmony and mindfulness into daily life.

Day 7
Farewell & Departure
